In general, APA requires that you cite ChatGPT (or any large language model (LLM)) like you would cite a software program/algorithm. It is recommended that you note your use of ChatGPT in your methods section or somewhere in your manuscript and describe how you used it. If you use ChatGPT in the drafting of your manuscript, you must note it in your methods section. You can also attach the whole text of your ChatGPT conversation as an Appendix for readers to review.
