PRISMA stands for the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses. PRISMA should be used to guide what you report when you write your systematic review. It is comprised of a checklist, which lists what you should report, and a flow diagram, which helps you visually present the flow of your results through the systematic review process.

PRISMA is the gold standard for reporting and it is required by JBI and Cochrane as the reporting standard.
